Suli,you have a way of finding whole huge sumptuous new worlds that I want to dive into. I am immediately taken by so much of this language, but also the idea of her being closer to a Christie's auctioneer than an Archivist feels like it's in the right territory.

@suli.holum It sure does! Oh man, I love this - the sense of scale is really present, things feel HUGE, and the sound is just epic. Feel like we could maybe enhance the sound in post a bit, but it won'r need much! This feels like a great intro / entree in Baroness - I'm composing a shooting script this afternoon.

Lindsay, so much of this is so great, and in fact I think we might be able to use some of this as is. Brenna and I will be doing some cutting and editing, and that's where we can get in some of those static disruption moments. I love how off-kilter and in trouble he is -it keeps him from being TOO comforting. I'm going to write some dialogue that I'd love you to record with this exact setup; and I still want the viewer to be found on the floor and moved around first. I think we can accomplish that with static and cuts - working on final script today, and then let's talk about how to make the find-on-the-ground idea happen - maybe record some video from the phone lying on the ground, looking up into the sky, and use that as Zoom background #1 - then static, disruption, and then we're at the next background with Mel just finishing affixing the phone to something... so we don't actually have to have movement to create the illusion of movement...

Keep forgetting to mention that Mel makes me think of the Ley Line Walker, a wizard class from RIFTS, a long ago RPG.

Suli, really exciting proposals here! I find the Baronness without so much language to be even more compelling - playing with movement scale is very revealing. I also love idea that the viewer is kind of left on the floor - Brenna points out that this is kind of at odds with the idea of scale. Going to think about which one feels more important.

This is amazing, Lindsay! I went by Gerritt today to pick something up and saw your setup - its amazing that something so simple can yield something so vibrant! I love this guy. A question for you, and for Brenna - would there be a way to start with the viewer being In the camera/device - so you find them, look at them, and pick them up first as you're talking to them? And then set them down. Probably tricky to cut that idea into the green screen, but I feel like it would be so satisfying if we could accomplish it!
